One more short week until Spring Break!  Our Easter Party will be on Thursday, March 24, at 1:00 p.m.  If you have not had a chance to help with a party and you would like to,  please send me a note to school by Monday, March 21. Everyone is welcome to attend the party!

Our basket for the Silent Auction is looking wonderful!  Thank you all so very much for all that you have donated!

3/14-3/18

The plays that we worked on this week for Reading were awesome.  The students did a fantastic job learning their parts and performed wonderfully on Friday to the younger grades! Thank you for working with your kiddos this week!

Next week we will start reading the book, Growing Up Where Jesus Lived.  We will be learning about what it was like to grow up in Bible times.  If the students would like, they may dress as like someone that grew up in Bible times on Friday, March 18.

The items for the Silent Auction baskets are due by Friday, March 18.  You can send those items in as soon as you get them, and I will start assembling our basket.

Please make sure the students are studying their Bible verses.  Some are struggling saying their verses for the test.  We go over them everyday at school, but it is very important for them to study at home too.

We will have an Easter Party on Thursday, March 24.  I will send home details as soon as I know them.

Oh my goodness!!!  We had a delicious lunch on Friday!!!  Thank you for sending food and helping the students with their food!!!  Miss Greer and I appreciate all of your hard work!!!

A note was sent home on Friday, March 4, for items to send in for the Rainy Day basket.  Again, Thank You!!

We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss this week!  Please encourage your child to dress up each day and participate.  I'm excited!

Thank you very much for all of my Valentine gifts! You are all very sweet!!

We are working on rescheduling the Library field trip.  I will let you know as soon as possible when it is.  

If you are participating in the luncheon for Miss Greer's class, please fill the forms out as soon as possible so we know what everyone is preparing.

2/15-2/19

We will be having our Valentine's Party on Monday, February 15, 

at 1:30 p.m.

There will be no Spelling Test this week.  We will do in class work with List 20 for a test grade. 

We did take our List 19  Spelling Test on Friday, February 12.  If anyone did not do as well as they wanted to, they may write the words that are incorrect two times correctly over the weekend and return it by                Monday, February 15, for part of the points back.

2/8-2/12

We had a great time celebrating our 100th Day!  Thank you for your support!!

This week we will be visiting the Summersville Public Library.  All students will ride the van.  We will leave around 9:30, and return around 12:00.  We will be eating lunch there.  Permission slips were sent home on Thursday, February 4.  Please return them with $1.00 by Monday, February 8, to cover the pizza for lunch.  

In order for Spelling to count for bonus, it must be written in cursive writing, definitions must also be written, words must be spelled correctly, and they must be signed by a parent. 

Our Valentines Party will be on Monday, February 15.  The students may bring Valentine Cards to distribute to their friends.  I will send a list home of names.
