9/24-9/28

Our school Literature Fair is on Tuesday, September 25. 

Grandparent's Day will be on Friday, September 28! There will be light snacks served to Grandparents from 8:00-9:15, and the performance will begin at 9:30. Students will be dismissed immediately after the program.

The school fundraiser for NLCA clothing is due on Thursday, September 27.  This is the only school apparel sale we will have this year other than for Homecoming. 

Parent Teacher Conferences are Monday, October 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. There is a sign-up sheet outside my door.  Please message me if you would like for me to put you in a time slot.

Flood Relief!

We are collecting items for the flood victims in North Carolina.  Suggested items are: 

Non-Perishable Foods, Gloves/Masks, Rubber Boots, Diapers, and Baby Wipes.  Items must be turned in on Tuesday morning, September 18.  

Our class is also collecting blankets to send as a class project.  Please help if you can. 

9/17-9/21

Our school Literature Fair is on Tuesday, September 25. It is not required for Second Graders to do the Literature Fair, but it is great practice.  We will be doing a class project, but your child is welcome to do a project on their own. Let me know, and I will send the information home for you.

Read, read, read!  Practice makes perfect! Please make sure your kiddos are reading and marking the Reading log.

9/10-9/14

  Chapel is a bit different this year.  Chapel is still on Wednesday, but Secondary will do chapel from 8:00-8:45 and Elementary from 1:45-2:15.  On the last Wednesday of the month, everyone will have chapel together from 8:00-8:45.

 

We are having a short ceremony on Tuesday, September 11, to honor our country and the many families that lost loved ones.  You are welcome to attend if you would like.  We will meet around 8:30, and it will start shortly after.
