• Please remember to sell your Taste of Summersville tickets.  The Taste of Summersville is Thursday, May 8.
• We are taking a field trip on Friday, May 9 to the Pet Store in Summersville.  I will be sending permission slips home on Tuesday, May 6.
• We would like to invite our moms to "Muffins for Moms" on Friday, May 16 at 8:15 a.m. and our dads to "Doughnuts for Dads" on Friday, May 23 at 8:15 a.m.  The students will be singing, reading, and serving breakfast. 
• Achievement Tests will be the week of May 19!

There are a few important dates coming up

that I wanted to share with you!

4/7-4/11

1. D.E.A.R. Day is Tuesday, April 8! Dress in crazy socks and with crazy hair!
2. Spring picture packets were due back on Friday, April 4.  If you do not return the packet, you are responsible for purchasing the entire packet.
3. Permission slips, notes, and filled eggs are due Wednesday, April 9, for our Easter Party!  Please feel free to join us.
4. Items for our Taste of Summersville baskets are due on Tuesday, April 22. The Taste of Summersville will be on Thursday, May 8!
5. We are no longer doing behavior charts.  Several students were not bringing them back to me after being signed at home.  I will keep track of the students time. If they are marked more than 5 times in one week, parents will receive a note that will need to be signed and returned.

3/31-4/4

1. I sent the assigned items home with students for our Silent Auction baskets for the Taste of Summersville. Our themes are "Backyard Fun" and "Coffee/Tea".  I made a mistake on the due date.  These items will be due by Tuesday, April 22. Thank you so much for your support!
2. We will have a quiz on the 2 times tables on Thursday, April 3. Please make sure students know them.
3. Please return money to pay for pictures that you choose to purchase.  If you do not want the pictures, please return them as soon as possible.

3/24-3/28

1. Report Cards will go home Monday, March 24!
2. Our class will be doing 2 baskets for the Silent Auction for the Taste of Summersville this year. Our themes are "Backyard Fun" and "Coffee/Tea".
3. This Thursday, March 27, will be the last time this month that we take up an offering for Lisa Smith's "Abide" foster home in Nicaragua. This home will provide a family for children that have no family and learn about the love of Jesus. Her website is http://lisasmith.myadventures.org/ if you would like to check it out.
4. Please remember to check and sign homework sheets on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Also, students should bring behavior charts home on Fridays. Please sign and return them on the following Monday.
5. I am trying to encourage responsibility in class. Please encourage students to be responsible for their folder, homework, homework sheets, and behavior charts.
6. Please remember, students can earn up to 5 bonus points for extra credit on their Spelling Test just by writing their words correctly each night and returning them to me with a parent's signature.

1. Tuesday, March 11, is D.E.A.R. Day! The theme is March Madness! Who's your favorite team?  Students may bring some books to read!
