12/5-12/9

Our school Christmas play is Thursday, December 8.  There are two shows: 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Students are required to be at both shows.  Students need to come to school at regular time on Thursday.  They are allowed to leave after the first show.  If you do not plan to attend the first show, your child will be ready to go home around 11:30.  I recommend all students go home and rest.  Play day is wonderful but exhausting.  Students need to return to school that evening to their classroom at 6:30.

This year Second Grade will not be drawing names for a Christmas gift exchange.  Our school is collecting toys for children that were affected by the flood this past summer.  I would like for Second Grade students to donate the toy that they would normally buy for the exchange to this event. It is very important to me that my students understand how important it is to “love your neighbor”.  If this puts a burden on your family, please do not feel like you must participate. They are also accepting gently used toys.  These toys are due on the morning of Monday, December 12. The toys will be collected from our school on December 12.

Our Spelling Test on the shortened List 13 will be on Tuesday, December 6.

Candace will be the Student of the Week!

Have a great weekend!
