We will be having our Valentine's Party on Monday, February 15,
at 1:30 p.m.
There will be no Spelling Test this week. We will do in class work with List 20 for a test grade.
We did take our List 19 Spelling Test on Friday, February 12. If anyone did not do as well as they wanted to, they may write the words that are incorrect two times correctly over the weekend and return it by Monday, February 15, for part of the points back.

We had a great time celebrating our 100th Day! Thank you for your support!!
This week we will be visiting the Summersville Public Library. All students will ride the van. We will leave around 9:30, and return around 12:00. We will be eating lunch there. Permission slips were sent home on Thursday, February 4. Please return them with $1.00 by Monday, February 8, to cover the pizza for lunch.
In order for Spelling to count for bonus, it must be written in cursive writing, definitions must also be written, words must be spelled correctly, and they must be signed by a parent.
Our Valentines Party will be on Monday, February 15. The students may bring Valentine Cards to distribute to their friends. I will send a list home of names.

Holy Moly what a fun week! I am so proud of Second Grade for our singing competition! They are such a fun bunch of kiddos!!
We are planning our 100th day celebration for Friday, February 5. We are encouraging the kids to dress like they are 100 years old. Also, they may bring a pair of slippers, a small blanket, and a small pillow so that our Senior Citizens can take a rest and watch a movie in the afternoon!!
Book It Calendars for January are due on Monday, February 1. However, I will accept them up until Friday, February 5.
New Bible verses will go home sometime during the week. We will not have another Bible test until Friday, February 12.

Spelling List 17 was sent home on Wednesday, January 20. I told the students that we would have the test, but I have decided to cancel this test. We will work with this list in class, and there will be no Spelling Test this week.
We will be having our Bible test on Friday on Psalm 1:1-6.
First and Second Grade would like to celebrate our 100th day soon. We would like each student to bring $5.00 as soon as possible to cover the costs of snacks and crafts. Also, we would love for the students to dress up like they are 100 years old. We will let you know several days in advance so that you have time to prepare. We are looking forward to a very fun day!
