Sami will be our first Student of the Week!!

Grandparent's Day is Friday, September 25. Please send the letter that was sent home back in so we know how many people to expect.

Tests for the Week:
Wednesday: Math and Spelling
Thursday: Phonics
Friday:  Bible
*We will be starting Oral Reading Tests soon.  

Don't forget students can write Spelling words for Bonus points, however, the words must be spelled correctly and signed by a parent to be counted. Student need to make corrections so that they practice it correctly for the test. 

Bring a signed note in, Monday, September 14, that you read the blog for 2 extra tickets.

No School on Monday, September 7.

Don't forget to save boxtops this year!!

8/31-9/4

Our first Spelling test is Wednesday, September 2. Don't forget the students can write the Spelling Words at night and have them signed by a parent to earn up to 5 bonus points on their test.

Mrs. Lucky would like for everyone to wear something purple on Wednesday, September 2 for chapel.

8/24-8/28

We had a great first week! The kids have been amazing! Student planners should be in on Monday, so please make sure that they are checked and signed daily. 

Spelling starts this week.  The first list will be sent home on Wednesday, August 26!

Our first Bible test will be on Friday, August 28, on Matthew 6:9-13, The Lord's Prayer!

Don't forget: "All About Me" posters are due on Monday, August 31.

Picture day will be on Thursday, August 27!

If you would like to make donations to our classroom, play-doh, treasure box items ($1.00 or less), or bendaroos would be great.

The supply list for Second Grade is on the previous post or under the menu/forms tab on the main page. You may bring all supplies with you on Monday, and I will help you put them in the correct spots.

I will be sending a few notes home with the children on Monday. Please take time to go over them with your children.

I am expecting the Lord to bless us with a great year with lots of learning and fun activities!

Mrs. Clark’s Second Grade Supply List!

• 2 boxes of tissues
• 12 inch ruler with inches and centimeters
• Scissors
• Plastic Pencil Box
• Fine Tip Twistable Colored Pencils or Twistable Crayons (small package that will fit in the pencil box)
• 1 box of yellow Number 2 pencils
• 2 glue sticks
• 1 inch 3 ring binder with pockets (not the binders with zippers, please.)
• 1 bottle of Germ-X
• 1 container of Lysol wipes
• $5.00 for a planner that will be purchased by the school
